South Asian Family Support Services (SAFSS) is a non-profit organization located in Scarborough, providing settlement services to newcomers. Our mission is to assist the newcomer's to reach their fullest potential and become fully contributing members of the Canadian society.

We offer the following  newcomer's settlement services:

• Information on Housing, Education, Health, SIN, Social Assistance (Ontario Works) and other services
• Advocacy, guidance and interpretation
• Referral of translation of documents
• Counseling related to adaptation to new environment
• Information sessions on topics relevant to newcomers' needs
• English Classes(LINC/ESL) Free Daycare and T.T.C tickets will be provided where necessary
• Job Search, resume writing and interview skills workshops
• Information and referrals to foreign trained professionals and trade persons
• Asist foreign trained Doctores to become a member of the Association of International Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (AIPSO)
• Guidance and information about entrepreneurs and small businesses
• Assistance in filling out various forms
• Assistance in accessing other services required by newcomers

Our counselors are friendly, cheerful and sympathetic to your concerns. We will do our best to help you.

OUR SERVICES ARE FREE AND AVAILABLE TO ALL COMMUNITIES
We provide services in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Gujarati, Bengalli, Dari and Farsi and other languages.
